I eat here everytime I go to
I eat here everytime I go to Shekou. The food is great. Really great! The wine is also reasonably priced and there is a good selection. They also have fairly decent wine by the glass and are generous with the measures. The service: There is always a western manager rushing about trying to provide good service with hopeless staff. It is definitely not a reason not to go as the staff are very friendly. I'd just like to see them better trained so I'm not always waiting for something to go wrong!

Not terribly impressive. The "wonna be" owner is obviousely trying her best to create a sort of "posh" atmosphere , as a reason of the unreasonable high rediculous price. She certainly ignores the fact of the difference between an Italian passport holder who has no problem to heat the food and a proper chef.
Plus, as a manager to communicate with western customers, the snobbish "wonna be" had better improve her chinglish.
Forgive me of being too polite and give 3 stars for this "wonna be" restaurant.

Note for Shekoumango
Your "politeness" is equally to your dishonesty. How much you got to write this untrue comment ??
I have been there several times : nice athmosphere, very good service, very good foods and prices well below to other italian restaurants in the area.
The "wonna be " owner has shown me always great courtesy and,for sure, her chinglish is much better that any other language you may know (if you know one).
Comments are always welcome but bad manners, offences and falsity should be avoided.
Shame of you !!!
The TOP can be included
The TOP can be included within the best Italian Restaurant in Shenzhen. The food is truly made "the Italian way", and the wine selection is quite ok, with a special selection of Italian wines, priced at reasonable prices.
The atmosphere is quite relaxing and elegant, and the welcoming is warm and customer-oriented. Finally, I would recommand to have a dinner in there.
Ambience is good but service
Ambience is good but service patchy...the staff doesn't know the menu well. The spaghetti vongole I ordered was under-cooked so I had to chew extra hard. The pizza crust was nice n crispy at the rim side though the rest of it is soaked through by the overly generous sauce making it a tad too soggy for my liking. Will go back there for snacks and wine coz of the ambience but not the food until their chef improves his thing
We have four complaints about
We have four complaints about this restaurant. First, we found a mouse when we almost finished our meal. Secondly, the boss (lady) tried to overcharge for a bottle of San Benedetto Sparking water (750ml). Thirdly, the boss was reluctunt to give us the dinning tax voucher. Fourthly, the boss had a rude attitude to us. We sat in the terrace. There was a "mouse" running past our table. Then we asked for the bill. But our bill had not been delivered for a while. Being afraid of the mouse, we walked back inside the restaurant to the cashier. We found out that the restaurant tried to overcharge for the 750ml sparking water (RMB48, which is not mentioned in the drink list). In fact, the drink list only mentioned 2 prices of San Benedetto sparking water, 1.5 litre is RMB55 and a glass is RMB25. When we were dinning, they gave us a 750ml one. Then we specifically asked the waitress and she said there was no large bottle and she would charge us $25. What makes us sad and angry is the lady boss's attitude. She didn't want to listen to what we said, not to mention an apology.
