The Shenzhen Metro Opened December 28th 2004. There are two lines. Shenzhen Metro Line 1 starts at the Lohu customs checkpoint and goes to Windows of the World (Shijiezhichuang). “FIVE Shenzhen Metro lines would open next month, a government meeting was told Friday May 26, 2011.
The Line 1 extension from Shenzhen University to the airport would open June 15, Line 4 from the Children’s Palace in Futian District to Qinghu in Bao’an District on June 16, while Line 5 would open June 22, the meeting was told.
The extension of Line 2 from Window of the World to Xinxiu in Luohu District and the underground section of Line 3 would open June 28.

"During the Spring Festival transport time (January 19th to February1st), all long-distance trains boarding from Shenzhen Station will have real-name systems. Passengers need valid ID card to buy tickets and travel. Real-name systems do not apply to Guangzhou-Shenzhen Bullet Trains and children riding on long-distance trains. For one ID card, only one real-name ticket can be purchased on a particular travel date at one particular station (stations in the same city are regarded as one). Passengers can buy tickets for others, but the original ID card is needed and only three can be purchased at one time, either by telephone booking or through a ticket window."

"TRAFFIC controls will be imposed on roads around the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center, the venue for the China Hi-Tech Fair (CHTF) from Tuesday to Nov. 21.

From 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., vehicles without a pass to the fair will not be allowed into the area bordered by Fuhua Road 3, Binhe Road near the exhibition center and sections of Jintian Road and Yitian Road.

Vehicles with passes would be allowed to park in car parks P0-P5 and those without passes could park at the nearby temporary P6-P10 car parks, with space for 1,850 vehicles. Temporary buses would transport visitors to the exhibition center, police said Thursday.
