Shenzhen Daily, Han Ximin reported that "SHENZHEN police will impose traffic restrictions on some roads in the city’s east from today until the end of the Universiade because some competitions will be held in the Dameisha area.
From now until Aug. 23, vehicles will be restricted from entering the Dameisha area, including the neighboring Yihai, Huanmei, Tanmei and Huanbi roads from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The right lane on Yanba Expressway between the Dameisha Tunnel and Dameisha Tollgate will be open only to authorized vehicles.

2012-3-1 Altair Semiconductor's MIPS-based FourGee LTE chipset have been designed into Android 4.0 "Ice Cream Sandwich" tablets from Beijing-based mobile processor firm Ingenic, writes Richard Wilson.

Originally announced in December 2011, the Ingenic tablet is one of the first Android 4.0 Tablet PC. It will be sampled to customers in the second quarter of this year, with potential commercial availability in the second half of 2012.

Universiade Employees Wary of Promises

Shenzhen Daily, Cao Zhen reported that "A TOTAL of 497 employees who were temporarily hired for the Universiade were told by the Games executive bureau that their labor contract would end today. But they are concerned that promises by the bureau to help them find work after the Games would not be honored.

“The details of how to help the employees to find jobs are still unknown,” yesterday’s Guangzhou Daily quoted Xiao Ming, vice director of the bureau’s human resources department, as saying.

Shenzhen Bay Sports Center to Open to the Public

Shenzhen Daily, Wang Yuanyuan reported that "A CHINESE Universiade athlete found her long-lost cousin from New Zealand at the Universiade Village a few days ago.
“I found my cousin Casten. He is the grandson of my grandfather’s sister and came to compete in swimming for New Zealand,” said Xu Le, who participated in golf at the Universiade, in her microblog Tuesday.
The microblog has been viewed and forwarded more than 1,000 times. “What an amazing fate and experience,” said many netizens.
