Where to go for shopping?

Hello,

I just arrived to Shenzhen couple of months ago and I'm wondering where to go for shopping.

I already visited the main shopping malls (I guess) but I cannot find what I am looking for. Basic jeans and shoes

As per I seen, I can only find Chinese brands with astronomical prices, ignoring how's the quality. Other shops are only selling those "broken" jeans style. I realised that the most expensive European/American brands have similar prices than local brands. Just I'm trying to find not high brands and/or prices with a fair quality

If somebody knows, I'd appreciate any help or suggestion on where to find clothes within a moderated price. Over all shoes!

Thank you! :)

SEG Electronics Market

This electronics bazaar is the heart of the Huaqiangbei shopping district. SEG electronics market is known world wide as a place where makers can come to find any kind of component they need to build their Internet of things devices. When you enter you are immediately into the thick of the electronic components and as you twist and turn through the isles and ascend on the escalators you go from components to computer motherboards, hard drives and then to full blown computers and monitors. If you can dream it you can probably assemble a prototype here. The SEG plaza also contains a lot of knock off products and components so be aware when you are buying. Read more »

50 Reasons Why Shenzhen is the World's Best City

Contributions by our blogger Jen Murray, some photos by photographer Anton Kicker.

We don't agree with CNN Travel that Hong Kong is the best city in the world. But Shenzhen? After all Shenzhen is just another mainland city that can never get its English signs right and whose traffic becomes a nightmare everyday from 4:30 to 8. But don't come too soon to conclusions--Shenzhen's unique vibrancy is one that you could only see with your own eyes.

Where to buy LED lights to decorate my rooftop?

Looking to buy some small white LED lights similar to Christmas lights. I want to decorate the rooftop of my home as a surprise for my girlfriend but cannot find them anywhere. I dont want to use taobao as its too complicated and can not tell the quality. Thanks in advance
