Longgang COCO Park is Attracting Business and Investment now. Hopefull fully open in 2012.
Shenzhen Daily, Helen Deng reported "SAM’S Club will open its second Shenzhen store at Longgang Coco Park, a press conference was told Thursday.
COCO Park’s developer Galaxy Group signed a contract with Sam’s Club, the membership-only retail warehouse club of Walmart Stores Inc., in Shenzhen on Thursday.
Longgang COCO Park, which is being built at a cost of 1 billion yuan (US$156 million), has attracted dozens of well known commercial brands including Sam’s Club, Bona International Cinplex and Japanese fashion brand UNIQLO.
A real-ice skating rink and more than 10 restaurants and coffee shops are also among the first tenants of the Longgang COCO Park, according to Galaxy Group.
Galaxy Group is one of the oldest commercial property developers in Shenzhen. It opened Futian COCO Park in 2006, which has grown into a popular shopping and leisure center for Shenzheners, pioneering the park-type recreation and shopping experience.
The group now manages about 300,000 square meters of commercial property. Its total area is expected to triple in five years, according to Galaxy Group.
Walmart entered China in 1996 and now has 333 stores in the country. "
