Just when we thought the Coco Park bar street was getting back to normal with a giant new guitar. We found that the mall management has raised rents and three original tenants are casualties:
We got in touch with the owner of Focaccino and found the reason for closing: "Rental cost at Coco Park is almost the same as HK but spending capacity is much lower so very difficult to make a decent financial return. When I saw the new proposed rental increase I decided to close the store." - Joel Silverstein
When the Coco Park Mall opened Focaccino was one of the first places there. Check out our Focaccino opening gallery. It used to be one of our regular stops for western food but as the Shopping Park got going and the quality went down we hadn't eaten there for a long, long time. No fear, in Focaccino's places will be the Red@CBD and by the signage it looks like this will have Steaks, Seafood, Wine and cocktails so we are looking forward to it. In place of Maxim will be a Japanese restaurant. For the Norway Oslo spot we are still not sure.
