Shenzhen Daily, Han Ximin reported that "THE Guangzhou-Shenzhen high-speed rail will be connected with the Wuhan-Guangzhou section this May, cutting the travel time between Shenzhen and Wuhan to under four hours, according to Lu Ruifeng, executive vice mayor of Shenzhen, at a panel discussion of the annual meeting of the city’s advisory body Monday.
Currently, passengers from Shenzhen to Wuhan and Changsha need to transfer at Guangzhou South Railway Station.
The Guangzhou-Shenzhen high-speed rail was opened Dec. 26 in time for the Spring Festival transport season of 2012. It takes several months for the railway authority to test the operation linking the two sections."
