Firstly,please allow me the opportunity to introduce myself,my name is Stephen Smith.I graduated from the Canterbury College of Technology in Canterbury,Kent.I am a person who is very hard working,highly self motivated,and have the ability to use my initiative.I have the ability to work on my own,also as part of an intergrated team.I have excellent communiaction and listening skills,which i use when working as a Senior Child Care Officer.I have worked very hard to progress with my work and life in general.I continually learn,grow and develop new skills.I really have a great passion for people,I enjoy and have much experience listening and gaining knowledge from my Co-workers and Senior Managers.I have assisted Teachers in School whilst working as a Senior Child Care Officer.We had a School based in the Residential Care grounds.I have worked within the local Police Force as a volunteer Special Constable. I worked within my local community to address crime issues which we had, I assisted with policing in my local neighbourhood, thus reducing crime. We also operated the Neighbourhood Watch scheme, to help make a safer community for all. I was a Special Constable for eight Years.
I worked after leaving the Police Force, to assist people in the community, who have been a victim of crime. I worked as a volunteer for Victims of Crime and Violence.
I have completed the First Aid and training to become a Lifeguard at the local Swimming Pool. I have also raised money for various charties, The Kent Air Ambulance Appeal, Scope, also for people with Cerebral Palsy.
