The Sungang Wholesale Market is this huge building block, which has several markets split into smaller shops specializing in different things ie. costumes, stationary, gift items, and holiday decorations. It’s spread out over several multi-level buildings and it’s also a great place to find toys including stuffed animals, light sports gear and some other miscellaneous hobby related items. Everything here is reasonably priced and you will be able to purchase what you wanted alongside everything you didn’t need but find yourself toting home all the same.
Note: This market transforms itself for each holiday, updating its offerings each season ie. Halloween decorations and costumes in Autumn & Christmas decorations in the winter etc.
How to get here:
Metro: the nearest metro station is either Grand Theatre (大剧院）on the Hongling (Line 3) or Laojie Station（老街）on the Xinxiu line (Line 2). Upon arrival, you’ll need to take a 5 minute taxi ride.
Bus: Take any bus that go to SunGang Cang Ku Station (笋岗仓库站) / DiHao Hotel ① Station (帝豪酒店①站 ) / LuoHu RenCai ShiChang Station (罗湖人才市场), and it should be a 10 minutes’ walk away!
