Green Oasis School is a unique school where the best of the East meets the best from the West creating a dynamic, high achieving ethos unique to Shenzhen.
Green Oasis teachers hail from a wide range of backgrounds and are all qualified with much international classroom experience. Our foreign and Chinese teachers work side by side in order to deliver a high-quality bilingual education with an emphasis on English as the main language of instruction.
We provide a student-centered curriculum. Our pedagogy emphasises the facilitation of student learning via a process called differentiation which aims to support the varying learning needs and learning styles a teacher is likely to encounter in any one class. This process is supported through the world class facilities and resources we have at Green Oasis including fully interactive classrooms (please browse the website for more information about our facilities and resources).
Although we aim to provide students with the linguistic, scientific, and mathematical skills to graduate into the top Colleges and Universities, we also aim to cultivate our students’ artistic, athletic, and social skills. We do this by facilitating students' understanding in social ethics, teaching them to appreciate and respect life, to develop their capacity to judge between right and wrong, and to be responsible citizens. Thus, Green Oasis graduates are equipped with foresight and understanding as they enter an increasingly competitive global world.

Hi,
As a parent, I'm very happy with this school and the new principal, miss Newman. seems to know what she's doing. I think she will raise up the notoriety of the school and make it a top international school in shenzhen. We'll see... She makes decisions and makes things happen....well...it seems like it so far. It is a huge change for my son because the previous principal didn't do anything and he is very happy with this lady now.

Green Oasis School is NOT an international school - it is an experimental/bi-lingual school. The new principal has been there for 1 week and until next academic year is the head of primary. so please know what you are talking about before commenting.
Well, well , well, ... I know
Well, well , well, ...
I know it's not an international school but a bilingual one and they don't want to be international. As you know...if you are an international school you , by law, cannot accept a chinese student....so I think it's more like a choice from this school. As I said, my kid is extremly happy there and as far as I know, the "new" principal is not head of primary but head of the school.
It is quite worrying that you don't know that as you seem to be a teacher their...
PS: I know that Mr Glancy is going to leave soon and therefore things might change....I can already see it with my kid and when I come to parents meeting.
Green Oasis School Shenzhen
Green Oasis School Shenzhen is quite a good bilingual school for me. My child seems to be happy and she has got good results.
I am fascinated by all this.
I am fascinated by all this. I worked at Shenzhen College of International Education as the Head teacher in the very early days when Jim Glancy was Head of Chemistry. Jim is a good man and would have done his best to accommodate and lead if people were positive and hard working. Whispering like this is unhelpful, there are clearly unhappy people out there but positivism is always best.
