Tasca Spanish Tapas Restaurant

It is a pleasant surprise to find a small corner of Spain tucked away behind Shekou, China's Taizi Hotel. Tasca has a warm, friendly and inviting atmosphere that emanates through its decor and the staff that work there. What really makes what Tasca has to offer stand out from other western cuisines are its Tapas. Though the Tapas portions are very much decently sized and good value for money they are still relatively small dishes, which allows couples or groups of people to order selections of cheeses, hams, meat dishes, fresh fish and vegetable dishes. These can all be shared, making it more than just a meal. A true dining experience that really does bring people together. A wide variety of main courses are also available including the house speciality, paella. Xavi Andres, the Spanish chef behind all of this, is nothing short of a perfectionist. For one he has the Iberian and Serrano hams flown in from Jabugo, an area renowned for having some of the highest quality hams in Spain. Tasca has an equally wide variety of wines imported from different areas of the globe to accompany this varied assortment of dishes, ranging from the more traditional wines of Spain, Italy and France to the new world wines from South Africa, Australia & New Zealand. A very refreshing alternative is the house Sangria which is served in earthenware jugs . Tasca has its own secluded outdoor seating area. Oil lamps adorn the tables. Their warm glow sets exactly the right mood for any evening spent outside. Tasca is an ideal place for a business lunch, a light snack, an afternoon aperitif, an evening with friends or a romantic meal for two. Tasca also does home deliveries. Ideal for those days in or when entertaining at home. And for those who cannot leave their work at home Tasca does have free wifi.
