Gypsy's Wine Bar and Restaurant

Dear Future customer,
I've been going to this restaurant since almost 1 year and my girl friend has been going there since almost 2 years.I've been there 7 times. Frankly telling you the 6th times i went to GYPSYS the food was good, BUT THE SERVICE WAS VERY VERY VERY VERY BAD EVERYTIME,you cant imagine the chinese people dont know how to treat clients there especially when the owner is not present.
last week we went there to eat our usual food i.e lopster and mushroom soap etc... my gf eats only lopster in gypsys, the lopster was not fresh at all for the 1st time and the leg of the lopster was missing. so we called for the chef to explain us why is it like this, the waiteress told us that the chef is already gone in a very RUDE MANNER, so we ask the waitress to call the supervisor, the guy came after like 10mins, the first word he said was "WHAT HAPPENED" there was no good evening,how are u ? NOTHING!!!!! IT WAS LIKE WE CAME TO EAT FOR FREE. ANYWAY THE WHOLE CONVERSAION WAS RUDE.

THE WROST THING IS THAT WE ASK FOR THE NUMBER OF THE OWNER, THEY SAID THE OWNER IS IN AUSTRALIA, ANY HOW WE CALLED THE OWNER AND LEFT A MESSAGE ON HIS PHONE.He called back after like 15 min,we explained him half of the story and then he cut the phone on my gf face and never called again.....

we are not a vip person but we atleast need good service wherever we are going, i guess its for everyone.

ANYWAY FRIENDS THAT WAS MY HISTORY.TAKE CARE IF YOU GOING THERE.

I WILL KEEP TALKING ABOUT THIS RESTAURANT UNTILL THE OWNWER PHONES ME AND ASK FOR FORGIVENESS AND ALSO HIS SUPERVISOR.

That sucks dude..

the worst part is that when something like this happens, it not only spoils your dinner. but pisses you off and ruins your whole evening..

i was planning to go to gypsy's but your review saves my time.

Personally I still think Gypsy's is one of the best western restaurants in Shenzhen.

Last weekend we went this restaurant with my wife service really sucks. We ordered 2 steaks and bread. after 30 min they bring 1 steak and bread then i think my steak cooking in difrent way, i wait another 15 mins but they didn't serve my steak, i called waiteress and ask her what happened to my order she said i just ordered bread, no steak then i said are you ok when you get our order i showed you and you said the name of my dish. she said i am wrong not she. She told me to wait 20 mins more, i get upset but i didn't say anything to them.  just my wife said, NORMALLY we should walk away and not pay the bill  coz she almost finish her meal and ruined our night , waiteress cameback and told us that they will give us %20 discount. whatever we finished our meal. they bring the bill my wife check the bill there was no %20 discount which is not important for me important part there was %10 service fee and we said we will not pay that service fee because of bad service then everything become ugly. owner came to my table and start shout at me he exactly said PAY YOUR BILL AND GET THE HELL OUT OF MY RESTAURANT(3 TIMES)  THEN I SAID WHY YOU ARE SHOUTING, HE SAID THAT I AM LYING. I DIDN'T ORDER STEAK AND JUST WANT TO GIVE THEM TROUBLE THEN MY WIFE START TO TALK TO HIM AND HE SWEAR TO MY WIFE AND I SHOUTED AT HIM AND HE THREATEN ME LIKE IF I WILL NOT PAY THE BILL AND GET THE HELL OUT FROM THERE HE WILL BEAT ME. WE CALLED POLICE WHILE WE WERE WAITING FOR THE POLICE OWNER'S FRIEND CAME AND HE SAID DON'T WAIT FOR THE POLICE JUST PAY WHAT IS FAIR YOU AND LEAVE THE RESTAURANT  EVEN POLICE COMES NOTHING WILL HAPPEN POLICE WILL ASK US TO PAY THE BILL AND LEAVE . POLICE CAME AND ASK OWNER TO APOLOGIZE AND TOLD US NOT TO PAY THE BILL HE APOLOGISED BUT THAT WASN'T REAL THEN WE INSIST TO PAY THE BILL WITHOUT SERVICE FEE AND LEAVE THE RESTAURANT.

I PAID THE BILL BECAUSE MY PROBLEM WASN'T MONEY, JUST WANT THEM TO UNDERSTAND THEIR SERVICE REALLY SUCKS.

EVEN IF YOU GO TO THIS RESTAURANT IF SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE FOOD OR SERVICE YOU CAN NOT COMPLAIN IF YOU COMPLAIN THEY BEAT YOU OR HUMILIATE YOU.
