Great live music and great Thai food.
Although I don't live in
Although I don't live in Shekou, I have been living in Shenzhen several years and visiting The Terrace at least a couple of times a year. But last night I had an experience so bad that I won't be going back, and I even find it worth using Shenzhenstuff to hate on them a bit. My wife is pregnant and last night was really itching for the Tom Yum Goong. We decided to make the trip to Shekou and ended up ordering a ridiculous amount of food for two people (pregnancy is a great excuse for that). The waitress didn't know the names of the food items in English or Chinese, and so we had to order by pointing and by number. She also didn't read the order back to us afterwards, and all around the service was not at all responsive. When the soup arrived, it was a different and unappetizing soup that we didn't want. We tried to send it back but they insisted that it was our mistake and so we couldn't return it. The whole reason we came was because my wife had her heart set on Tom Yum Goong though, so I finally told them "fine, take this back and just add a Tum Yung Goom." Well they did that, and to be fair, the food was fine, but they were very curt and defensive about the whole thing. I worked at restaurants in the USA for many years, and I understand you don't want to just write off items containing shrimp, especially if you think the customer is to blame, but it seems like they could have at least offered us a discount on the item or maybe a couple of complimentary drinks. If a place is going to promote it's Western style and charge Hong Kong prices, it seems to me they should at least try for Western service standards as well.

Bad mainstream music / rude
Bad mainstream music / rude waiters and waitresses / terrible band with no talent and repeatitive songs
Little space for dancing / bad service / horrible cocktails (my 12 year old sister makes better cocktails) ...
Avoid this place like the plague
There are MUCH better options within walking distance, just ask around.

TAS (Terrace All-Stars) with new members Crez and Reyvid are doing a great job of keeping things fresh and Leon and Reyvid's early show is really good. Not sure why all the complaints about pricing but I've been to every bar that has live music and the prices are similar if the music is as good. Always a great time in Terrace!
Let's Party at The Terrace
Let's Party at The Terrace with T.A.S.!!!
Good band, but who wants to
Good band, but who wants to see the same band day in and day out witth the same sets. Drinks are a little overpriced for China.....
Long time friend of Terrace
Long time friend of Terrace and yes we know expenses keep rising but your price of drinks are really too high for people like us that like to party 3 - 4 times a week. But keep the music fresh, we still come back but not as often, maybe others feel the same as we do, look at Starbucks droping prices due to the economy and competition !
