Beer Paradise

Don't go here unless you're ready to buy the girl's drinks.

Make sure you take plenty of money with you, this is the first Chicken Bar in Sea World. Its a shame they let these types of bars operate in such a beatiful area.

I think this is a little harsh. Its a small bar trying its best to survive amongst the big bars, clubs and restaurants not just in the area, but in the current financial climate. When I have been here I have found them fun, friendly and welcoming - and yes, I had my wife and daughter with me, as did the friends we were with. They cannot afford to pay a full salary and so yes, the girls try to make up their wages from drinks, but only with the people who want their company (and NO, I don't mean in a sordid way). There is a pool table, large screen (projection) TV and a huge range of imported beers. So as for calling it "these types of bars" I think you are way off the mark and should stay in your 5-star hotel room! They are people just trying to make a living and not a substandard life-form which you make them sound! I would say give it a go!

As a later edit, I realise I messed up adding the rating. I would give this place 4.5 stars out of 5!

I agree with Steve, this bar is actually quite fun and I give it a high rating. I have been there many times with friends, the girls have always been friendly. One of the more genuine places to go to in Shenzhen. Love the great selection of beer !

I agree this is a small bar trying its best to survive. I have been visiting this bar for 3 years now and in acountry were it can be lonely this is a welcome change to sitting in my hotel room. I would reccomend this bar to anyone who wants to spend i night losing a few quid at pool and haveing a few beers at a reasonable price.

I think beer paradise needs updating, it was last updated four months ago, I couldn't access anything about it in the top article. That's too bad, I would have enjoyed a "cold beer" now. I'll just have to rely on beer of the month clubs for that...

This bar is a really nice place. If you want the company, you pay for it, but I'm sure you will have a real good time there:).

nice place to play pool or sit down with friends to chit chat. i like to sit outside with my friends and have a drink. if you like it, you can buy drinks for the ladies.no one will force you if you don't feel like it.
