I WANT TO EXPLAIN FOREIGN PEOPLE THAT Babyface sz is too DANGEROUS,DONT GO THERE, IS THE WORST PLACE IN SHENZHEN.INSIDE IS CHINESE PEOPLE that fight always AND THEY HAVEN'T SECURITY ENOUGH.

Ok I feel I should say something because the previous comment is just too overdone. I personally don't club much these days cuz I am running my own company. But I did work in the nightclubs here and opened in management, SOHO and ROX which is now babyface. I do want to advise all foreigners to be cautious in chinese drinking environments, but Babyface is no different from anywhere. I mean Anywhere in china with drinking, loud music and the nightlife scene. Except perhaps the average table cover might be higher than many other bars/clubs. 
I personally was stabbed 4 times and had to haul my own ass to the hospital commendeering a police van after being attacked right outside of Soho next to the mall by 4 people. I got cut with a blade 5 inches long and slashed/stabbed 4 times givein 22 inches of train tracks. luckily i knocked out one and the rest were caught on cctv cams and later arrested. But hell that was just after leaving to go home.. and i repeat it was on the main street next to king glory. 
Face it, China is still a developing nation and the very word foreigner is seeded in the minds of chinese with a much different thought and emotional response than you can believe in most cases. try askeing a waiter/waitress about stars (yes other suns in space) see what you get besides a light in sky for example. Common "obvious" things to you can be and most commonly are completely unknown to the general populus. 
So all in all, if you like going to clubs late at night in a developing country. for gods sake expect to lay low, don't play the bar star, drink and enjoy and most useful and what I would call common sense, make sure to have some local chinese friends with you in case of misunderstanding due to lack of "your" communication skills... This Is China. speak chinese. or face the fire. 
Babyface is no different to ANY other clubs around that I can justify other than say, "Inclub" where I have yet to see them fail to handle a situation by allowing a total mess to happen unlike almost every other club around has.

EDIT! Inclub has bit the bullet too, haha I suppose it was un-avoidable.. but hell they had a good run.. Main staff have already moved to other venues and "the gossip" is those without replacement work are planned to move to "a" new club.

you into DnB? never seen u at n e nights or heard of a single night of it being featured in the old club....? anyways, Since you say I should get facts straight hehe, all the people that took care of me or my guests over the past few years personally at a great level of quality have in fact begun work already at other clubs.. maybe they are not concidered the main staff to you or the mangement.. but to me and apparantly any club they choose to work at.. they are and working there within almost an instance... As you revealed to me some info, I would not like to spoil your surprise, want to give us the spin on or a sneak peak in terms of a simple description or some of the unique features of the new club in planning?  -All the Best~!

Im maybe in late to answer you , but really you bring me the reason directly....I only think that you are wrong with development countries..do you think that only because some foreigner can't speak chinese need be fight or have problems???Really I dont understand your reasons...this is China...what do you mean? of course we know is China, but I hope not aaaall the people need be in the hospital when go out...like you....Of course this local not is the only one with problems..but who is the guilty?I think the management people need be responsable about the locals...what do you think?because, I usually go to Hk for example..you know, CHINA too, and when in the club someone fight...directly is going out with the security...............

Music did not please me on the last two evening-parties on Friday: only at 4 o'clock began to play house, and to it terrible mixture. :)

In the last weeks, 5 of my friends got their phones stolen in Babyface. We told the management that there is a group of thieves, but it still happens. It is very easy for the robbers, as there is an unsecured open door at the second floor where the people can escape with the phones right after they steal it on the dancefloor.
Means to me either:- Babyface management including Tira Lee doesn't give a shit about their customers or- Babyface management is part of this dirty scam, probably because drug business doesn't make enough profit these days.

It so badly. Expensive phones?
My advice: on an evening-party not to take with itself nothing,
except for a bit money and small phone is in the front pocket of jeans. Real klubheads walk so. :)

All of Lohu is a dangerous place, over the last two weeks at least 5 guys got killed in front of many people with choppers and knives, lots of gang activities there. I was standing outside UBar 2 weeks ago when an older China lady had her bag grabbed by a thief, six Chinese boys chased him but he got clean away...she was crying, then a few days later 3 guys got killed in Lohu, and a few days ago 3 HK guys also got attacked with choppers, at least one dead...and yes, this is China, it is a very dangerous place, although most foreigners might never realize that because they don't speak Chinese and because Chinese people always have a big smile when they see us, they know ehre comes moeny !!
Many foreigners are real fools and easily cheated...those are the facts...

How do you behave? If you consider the Chinese such, then not surprised if they answer you accordingly.

No offense to ya Tokatak, but there is lines within lines in the prior post.. I have seen things here you would not believe if you are surprised by a few street deaths from kitchen cleavers and machetes then I would never wish to explain further as to not fall on deaf ears as they say.  I wonder how you would react to the notion of services providing cannibalism at a hefty price?? twins and pretty girls are the most expensive dishes... YUM@ 
I do understand chinese and I am an artist as well and to be honest I can not say they are more creative or peaceful  than any other race or nation at all. That is in fact a massive over generalization as far as I am concerned and am often dismayed at the general public's Lack of creativity or desire to go outside the proverbial box if they can understand the notion set in fact. But I or you should not blame them for this is their way of life given to them such as it is our burden to get visa renewals lol.!!! k that is a very poor comparison but hell borders are there and we generally have a much bigger playground to learn in and bring to the table so to speak..

K firstly, yes you should stick to HK if you require the security. When I say this is China.. it means it is Not HK, thus should not be compared and also why there is a big fn border still to control what might be passed vice-versa otherwise.

I don't mean because some foreigners  can not speak chinese all others that do not speak too will have problems. I just remind you that if you could understand what the problem was that you were confronted with that you could better avoid a conflict. Often the misunderstanding can lead to further hostilities or un-necessary violence.

Chances are you have not walked the streets here say 4-6am in the 80% of city you never see from a car.. where yes such things as machetee fights are quite common in public view for example. I spent every single day for months and months of years working these clubs you talk so informatively about and yes although i am a foreigner such as Hk and any other asian nations visiting china i am the only one (non chinese) that has worked for Soho china and seen how true "chinese operations" work.
 I can tell you that I have only been sent to hospital one time
with Lethal life threatening injuries  in the countless times i have had to deal with hostile and drunk chinese (and foreigners for that matter) in my life here.(4 stab wounds and gashes held together by my hands so my intestines
didnt spill out as i forced a police van to drive me to the hospital
bleeding all over the van)
That being said I wonder how your figures would compare if you were a male foreigner in the same position.. It is not easy or as difficult as some jobs for sure but don't scoff at it and imply that I go to hospital whenever i go out where it seems you are in fact more likely to find yourself suiting if you had spent as many days/months on end basically living in clubs here working.
As for security.. as far as they see it and it is seen in other places of the world too. if you are a valuable client, they will protect you of course.. if you complain and cause trouble after paying for one bottle with no reservation and are not known locally, why should they risk getting further problems from locals that could truly affect their business in ways you can not even imply????

 think behind the facade of client side and customer service generalizations from the west..  I do not wish to undermine your statements but you should not do so to others like me for example who only tell you from personal long term experience as a warning and confirmation of your beliefs that it is not candy land or care bare safety time here.. take care! and yes.. I do think you should learn some Chinese at least if you wish to go out without Chinese local accompaniment!

Perhaps you are right in that I have a hard time respecting Anybody as I spend more time dealing with trickery and bribery, corruption and dishonesty. Not just Chinese, it is the same anywhere in the world is my point, but to not forget the very true evils and goodness that certainly have greater chances to be magnified in such large complexities of populations not found in every part of earth... unless they earn the respect first. I share true and honest feedback with an objective and analytical view. You are lucky to have such an optimistic outlook on a race as a whole, as for me, people are people, race has no meaning. Rather origin of individual upbringing, background, personality, attitude, history of interactions etc. from those many complicated and uniquely different single accounts I suppose generalizations are then deducted but only under a discriminative and objective outlook if to be truly non-opinionated.. if possible at all... seems you have had a great time of your surroundings. I hope not at expenses of others less financially able as many foreigners do in Asia... but you seem not of such a kind like that am I right? anyways.. this forum topic should be closed as it is for a nightclub not a dispute over ethics or such. all in all. as first post said. this is china and it is not like the movies which many foreigners do not understand and perhaps never will. if going to clubs, use your head and dont think you "deserve" the treatment you might be used to abroad or as seen in television or film. and most of all, yes be respectful. but as i have learned from trusting and being perhaps too respectful at times, choose wisely where to put your trust and faith as anyone regardless of race or creed could be your best friend or worst enemy until you know them!... all the best!

Sorry I just have to say, I do not ever summarize Chinese people as a race by cannibalism hehe, just a reminder that bad things can happen relating to specific bad people which can be found in many places of the world and where so many people are there are more chances.. I am sure you know of the begger methods and amputations? now this would happen and did im sure other places but unfortunately it still happens around this part of the world. again i ask you to not generalize one statement as a reference to all... again read between the lines. 0.000001% is that evil but it is there.. and i by no means say it is indicative of a race.. im probably the least racist person u might know.. but people specific and based on individual accounts I can give you feed back and just a view from the eyes of somone such as myself. take it how u want but dont say i do not behave to the chinese respectfully.. or second best. Hi to everyone,  i dont really understand why u all say  that babyface is a dngerous club.I must say it is one of my favorite clubs in Shenzhen ive been there several times with my friends and we are all foreigners, ive never seen somebody fighting or something like that ...it was always a great party with cool chinese people...also in all other clubs in shenzhen...but if u dont like partying with chinese , then better go to Club Viva its the place where all the foreigners go, maybe u feel there more safe...But i will allways go to babyface coz i like partying with the chinese people

Baby face is the best club for party and get drunk..... After 2am everybody so drunk and having soooo much fun !!! i do go there almost every day so i know it wery well .... So come and enjoy your time ... It s good to get out of your boring life !!!!!!

Hey guys, C'mon!
We're foreigners and we are in China, that's a fact. Let's put the right words here: we are visitors here!!! Surely not all of us but I've seen many foreigners behaving like pigs or "King is in the neighborhood" here in Shenzhen and another cities. There's no surprise some locals have this harsh approach on us. Guys, besides we are playing the visitors here... we are definetely no better than that old illiterate countryside chinese dude pulling the recycling cart down the street. Nobody is better or worst than others here. We respect them, they respect us. Very very easy, guys. Thanks.

yo i wanna die.. this place sounds too heat! 

I am a Hong Kong girl, now I hv go to Shenzhen for work once a week. I really want to go somewhere for nitelife in Shenzhen with my friends but hardly to heard that so famous Disco called " Baby face " is like that...... so China, only have hardware, the sofeware have many rooms to go ! I wish they will change as soon as possible, or else they will lose some precious things can't count in moneywise. Btw, Hong Kong is quite big differ city compare to Mainland China in all area. culture, manner and common sence !!!!
