Shen Wai International School Pre-K to Grade 4 PYP Art Exhibition 2017

Event Date:
May 11 2017

Smelly Art, kinetic sculptures, ceramic animals, and more! The PYP Visual Arts department held their first ever Art Exhibition last week. The exhibition showcased a wide range of students’ work including projects from Pre-K to Grade 4. On the individual level, students selected their favorite works to show. Many collaborative pieces were also displayed, highlighting an exceptional display of collective works.

The wide range of projects showed the students’ progression in their Art skills and experiences. Additionally, the works displayed a variety of mediums including sculpture, mixed media, drawing, and painting. The PYP Visual Arts program at SWIS aims to incorporate a wide range of artistic experiences for the students, and the exhibition offered a wonderful opportunity to display those experiences for staff, students, and parents.

The students should be extremely proud of their hard work during the year and of their journey through the Visual Arts program at SWIS. We as a team look forward to continuing to strengthen our Visual Arts program and continuing to integrate our units of study within the classroom. Congratulations to a team effort in making the exhibition a success and congratulations to our hardworking, talented young artists at SWIS(Shen Wai International School)!
