Shenzhen Daily, Liu Minxia reported that " A GROUP of companies and institutions from Shenzhen signed five investment deals with U.S. counterparts Monday (U.S. time) to deepen cooperation in education, biopharmacy, alternative-energy automobiles, and exhibitions, yesterday’s Shenzhen Economic Daily reported.
In a ceremony attended by Shenzhen Mayor Xu Qin and Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, Shenzhen automaker BYD opened its North American headquarters in Los Angeles on Monday, aiming to create 150 jobs in the second-largest U.S. city.
The automaker also announced a new partnership with Hertz Car Rental, the world’s largest general use airport car rental brand who will use a BYD all-electric, long-range eBus to transport passengers at Los Angeles International Airport."
