Resolved Question: Do I need a visa to visit Shenzhen from Hong Kong?

Printer-friendly versionPrinter-friendly version

I will be flying to Beijing from the US, and then travelling around China. I will then fly to Hong Kong for a few days before flying back to the US.

My visa says it's for one entry, but if I wanted to visit Shenzhen OR Macau OR my parent's village in Canton while I am staying in Hong Kong, will I need to amend my visa or get another visa??

help!
Thank you. I already found out that I will need to do something...either pay $130 again for another visa (I have not even travelled out of the country yet) or hopefully they will pity this poor first time asia traveller so that I can visit my parents' village... Anyone know if they will charge me again at the Chinese consulate in the US?
thanks everyone for your answers.
our flights are already booked to fly from BJ to SH to Guilin to HK. we only stay about 3 days in each city. unless we cancel from domestic flight from Guilin to HK and take a train to Canton (then a train to HK), we cannot really stay in the mainland to avoid the second visa entry. Is this correct? any way to arrive in HK airport and go to Canton without entering HK officially? by bonded ferry or train?
