Longgang Official Gets Death Over Corruption
Printer-friendly versionShenzhen Daily, Han Ximin reported that "A FORMER official of Longgang District had been sentenced to death with two years’ suspension for taking bribes of HK$35.95 million (US$4.7 million) and 5.19 million yuan (US$823,000), by Shenzhen Intermediate People’s Court.
Zhong Xinming, former executive deputy head of Longgang District Government, was found guilty of abusing his power and taking bribes when he was serving as team leader for the land requisition for the construction of Longgang Sports New Town and chief for the construction of Metro Line 3 and renovation of Shenhui Road between 2007-2010."
