Bulky Thief Arrested in Longgang, Shenzhen

[Dec. 5, Shenzhen] New Year is fast approaching. While we are looking forward to the joyful new year with keen anticipation, we should also be careful with our properties. The most frequent incidents of crime involve distraction theft, bag snatching and armed robberies which usually happen during this festive period. 

Nandu Daily reported a theft in Bantian, Longgang District. An unemployed Mr. Xi endeavored to steal his former boss's properties two nights ago, but he failed to leave the premises with the goodies. He got stuck in the elevator ventilation shaft because his bulk completely filled the shaft. Desperate, he called his girlfriend for help. After struggling to shed his clothing, even his pants, in a frantic attempt for escape, his bulk still wouldn’t budge. His girlfriend had no choice but to call the police for help. Both were arrested.
