  • Make posters for events, labelling equipment, and replenishing first aid bag/ice for injuries
  • Order local equipment with the office and collecting or getting equipment delivered
  • Take inventory of all sports equipment on a month basis and adding new orders to that list as equipment arrives
  • Prepare PE visual display boards with meaningful content prior to the first day of school
  • Maintain/update PE display boards as needed throughout the school year
  • Sort T-shirts for students and ES staff with directive from the school office
  • Use iPads and/or the school camera to take film and photographs of students during classes
  • Responsible for updating photos to the PE blog
  • Make sure iPads are charged at the end of each day
  • Take attendance during all After School Activities (ASA) and provide supervisory support as student check-in and board ASA buses
Candidate Requirements: 
  • Typical hours are from 07.30 to 16.00. However, the PE TA assists with ASA bus monitoring on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays which finishes at 16.30. Therefore the TA can arrive at 08.00 on these days.
  • Have class equipment prepared by 8.30am each morning for PE teachers
  • Occasionally lead/monitor small groups with warm-up activities or mini-lessons
  • Dress appropriately in sports wear and sneakers
  • Show initiative with different tasks and responsibilities
  • Direct engagement with students during all classes
  • Assisting students who have injuries, difficulties with language, or behavior issues
  • Monitor and engage with students during swimming classes (inside and outside of the pool)
  • Assist teachers during parent nights and special events attended by teachers
