We are seeking a highly energized Marketing Manager to join the CNNGo team. The Marketing Manager will oversee Consumer Marketing Communications – including reader contests, working with partners to acquire incentives for these executions, event sponsorships that will extend CNNGo Brand Awareness and drive site traffic, CNNGo Registrant/Newsletter subscriptions acquisition and retention, and maintaining our platform communications (Facebook, CNNGo.com, etc).
• All consumer marketing communications for CNNGo across CNNGo.com and social media (Facebook, Twitter, for said executions;
• Coordination of event sponsorships within the region and within specific markets (e.g. Shanghai, Hong Kong, etc) that extend our brand awareness, business relationships and drive traffic to the CNNGo.com platform;
• CNNGo registrant/newsletter subscriptions acquisition and retention campaigns;
• Maintain oversight of all platform communications, including developing accompanying creative copy for specific products (e.g. CNNGo iReport, video section) and for any related house ads and external/internal communications;
• Lead new platform and product launch communications and marketing stunts, including development of creative concepts and plans;
• Assist in providing/distributing CNNGo to existing and future distribution platforms (e.g. Yahoo!SG, MSN);
• Oversee our SEM and SEO initiatives, including directing vendors on specific/ongoing campaigns;
• Work with vendors on social media marketing strategies and community marketing executions, including monitoring/populating our media platforms;
• Track and monitor campaigns and executions, and provide regular reports and presentations to assist in assessing ROI and campaign effectiveness, and for communication to internal stakeholders;
• Ongoing partner management.
• Minimum of 3-5 years digital marketing experience;
• Excellent speaking and written English; Spoken Cantonese, Mandarin and/or Japanese beneficial but not essential;
• Proven SEM campaign development and SEO experience;
• Ability to produce ad copy/creative concepts and plans/presentations;
• Knowledge of web development tools and technologies (e.g. Flash, HTML, Javascript, Photoshop) and CMS/blogging platforms beneficial but not essential;
• Demonstrated experience in database marketing;
• Experience working in multi-cultural teams;
• Must be resourceful, proactive, highly detail-oriented, able to work to tight delivery deadlines and keen to extend their learning.
