Macau Walking Tour Routes by the Macau Government Tourism Office

Macau Government Tourism Office has recently established 4 different Macau walking tour routes to satisfy different tourists.

The first one is "a Tour of Historical Trails", starting with the famous Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro, also known as "San Ma Lou" among the natives. It links Avenida da Praia Grande and the Inner Harbour with traces of the Chinese and Portuguese residents’ life. 

How is VAT applied on a domestic transaction in China?

If I buy parts (EXW) in China and send them to another supplier in the same province for assembly into the final product prior to export, are they subject to local VAT?

New BBQ. Protecting IP. Working with factory on distribution.

I am designing a new BBQ.  How do I protect my design so that nobody will copy it?  Plus how do I sell the idea to somebody to manufacture it as it will be the only type in the world.

Sean Connery vs. the…what?

Counterfeit DVD’s are still widely available in China. I don’t advise you buy them because the quality is horrible and it’s wrong from an ethical perspective.  Plus you can get in big trouble when importing and exporting across international borders.

I think the producers of the counterfeit DVD below were trying to create a box set combining the action movies of both The Rock and Sean Connery. Either the editor has a twisted sense of humor or more likely they didn’t catch the mistake.

So let this be a comical reminder that as sourcing professionals, we need to double check not only the quality of our products, but also the images and text found on the packaging! Read more »

From South China to East China
