24 Hours Foreigner Registration Rule
 Foreigner Registration Rule

The new China Exit and Entry Law was set on July 1, 2013. The new law requires all foreigners to register with their local public security bureau within 24 hours of arrival in the country, and failure to do so will result in a maximum fine of RMB 2000.
The new Exit and Entry Law has laid down the following provisions regarding the 24 hour registration rule:

(1) If the foreigner not stay in hotels: The foreigner or the person who accommodate him/her, should do the registration in the appropriate public security bureau in 24 hours.
(2) If the foreigner stay in hotel: The hotel should submit the foreigner's check-in information to the appropriate local public security bureau. Read more »
