City Caps Home Price Increases Below Economy, Wages Growth

"SHENZHEN said yesterday it would limit gains in new home prices to no more than the pace of economic growth and average income expansion in response to Chinese Government measures to keep housing price gains in check. The city wants new home prices to grow slower than the annual economic and per capita disposable income growth, the city’s land and resources commission announced late yesterday.
    In January, Shenzhen forecast the city economy would expand 10 percent this year, down from 12 percent last year. Urban per capita disposable income was expected to rise 8.7 percent from 32,000 yuan to 35,000 yuan this year. Read more »

Universiade Village Will Be Officially Opened In August 6, 2011

Heads of athletes village held the second meeting of the Committee in March, 29, informing that this year's Universiade Village will be officially opened in August 6, 2011, relevant staffs will move to work in  Universiade Village in May 20 .

Mayor Wang Suiming, the municipal committee of Universiade Village hosted the meeting, she asked every effort from the Universiade Village team, providing a good environment and quality of services for athletes from home and abroad and creating a "home" of the warm atmosphere.

BEIJING - The program to reduce pollution between 2011 and 2015 will include emission targets for rural areas, Li Ganjie, vice-minister of environmental protection, said on Monday.
The country's vast rural areas, included in the program for the first time, are becoming more polluted than cities, he said.

Universiade Games-time interns Recruitment

The Shenzhen 26th Summer Universiade sports show Games-time recruitment held in South China Agricultural University, Guangzhou in March 26, 2011.

The recruitment targets to have demonstrated experience in the Guangzhou Asian Games in Guangzhou Sports College student, plans to recruit more than 200 Games-time interns.

The selected interns will serve as Bilingual Games broadcaster, Video director, Sound engineers and on-site host and so on. GZ-Wuhan High-speed Line To Open

"THE Shenzhen-Guangzhou section of the high-speed rail linking Wuhan and Hong Kong will open on the eve of the Shenzhen Universiade in August.
    The section was originally planned to open at the end of 2010 after the completion of the Shenzhen North Railway Station, but it was delayed by work on Shiziyang Tunnel, which was completed just two weeks ago.
    The Shiziyang Tunnel which passes under the Pearl River estuary was about 11 kilometers. It is said to be China’s longest underwater railway tunnel. Read more »
