In the spirit of Chinese New Year, the chefs of Shang Garden create a range of festive dishes and two set menus available from 9 to 31 January 2011. For a small gathering of four persons, guests can enjoy the 10-course Harmony Menu at Rmb688 per table. This menu features dishes such as Barbecued Meat Combination, Boiled Dried Oyster and Sea Moss Soup with Pig's Tongue, Pan-Fried Shrimp with Soy Sauce, and Steamed Turbot with Diced Hot Red Peppers. Groups of six persons will find the 12-course Prosperity Menu a good choice. This menu is priced at Rmb1,088 per table and includes Double-Boiled Chicken Soup with Sea Whelk and Hou Tou Gu Mushroom, Sautéed Shrimp and Clam with Honey Bean, Braised Goose Web and Black Mushroom with Abalone Sauce, and Sautéed Broccoli with Crabmeat and Straw Mushroom. In addition, guests can choose to order speciality dishes from the chef’s recommendation menu.
To celebrate the Chinese New Year immersed in literary history, guests can book the Red Mansion Banquet with a full banquet of 36 delicately prepared dishes that are inspired by the famed novel Dream of Red Mansions.
The Red Mansion Banquet is available until 5 February 2011 and is priced at Rmb8,888 plus 15 per cent service charge for a table of 10 persons. Due to the long hours of preparation and intricate presentation involved in each dish, the Red Mansion Banquet is limited to only one booking each evening. Two days advanced reservation is required.
