ANDREW YOUNG (SAXOPHONIST MUSICIAN COMPOSER) Born in Liverpool, England. Resident in Vienna, Austria. Classically trained from the age of 8 in both Clarinet and Saxophone After completing Saxophone and Clarinet studies in London, Andrew moved to Germany to pursue a desire for a broader and more eclectic involvement in all genres of music. Andrew was presented with an honorary Doctorate at the IMMADEC University in Vienna by Otto Von Habsburg.
2008 Andrew completed his tenth tour of the Peoples Republic of China, an invitation extended and facilitated by the Uniart Success Company based in Beijing. Hailed as the "Prince of the Saxophone" (Beijing Daily News), the Chinese were enthralled with live performances of both his music and Chinese Pop/Folk songs played on the saxophone, Live TV and radio broadcasts of Andrew’s concerts were transmitted to millions of people. He participated in workshops, at various school and university seminars, sharing experiences with so many young students. Andrew has performed with the ~ Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra, Kunming Symphony Orchestra, Beijing Symphony Orchestra, He also participated in the Macau Jazz Festival.
