Friday John Biggs from the web site TechCrunch stopped by at Le Bistro to say hello to the Shenzhen Tech Community. About 50 people joined the meetup. John talked a bit about the TechCrunch Disrupt conference that was held in Beijing. He also mentioned that we would be see a bigger TechCrunch presence in Asia and that we should stay tuned.
It was a mixed crowd of people from both the hardware and software side of things. I hade a little time to take some photos. I learned of some new projects about to launch including a 3d shopping mall and fashion oriented social network. I also met some guys that came from Hong Kong doing mobile web browsers, and a team making software to monitor energy consumption.
Shout out to Michael Michelini for organizing the event.
