Ghost-The Musical In Guangzhou will be held at Guangdong Performing Arts Center Theater from Feb.21 to Feb.26, 2017.
GHOST is a timeless fantasy about the power of love. Walking back to their apartment one night, Sam and Molly are mugged, leaving Sam murdered on a dark street. Sam is trapped as a ghost between this world and the next and unable to leave Molly who he learns is in grave danger. With the help of a phony storefront psychic, Oda Mae Brown, Sam tries to communicate with Molly in the hope of saving and protecting her.
Nominated for an Academy Award for Best Film of 1990, GHOST won numerous awards worldwide and is one of the biggest grossing films of all time. It starred Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore, Tony Goldwyn and Whoopi Goldberg and was directed by Jerry Zucker. Bruce Joel Rubin's script won an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay and Whoopi Goldberg won the Oscar® for Best Actress in a Supporting Role. The film's iconic love scene at a potter's wheel was famously performed to The Righteous Brother's Unchained Melody.
Adapted for the stage by Bruce Joel Rubin, GHOST is directed by Matthew Warchus. Set and costume designs are by Rob Howell, Illusions are by Paul Kieve and Musical Supervisor and Arranger is Christopher Nightingale. Lighting and Sound are by Hugh Vanstone and Bobby Aitken. Jon Driscoll is the Projection Designer and Ashley Wallen is the Choreographer.
The production opened in Manchester then London in 2011, on Broadway in 2012 with two touring productions opened in the UK and North America in 2013, and South Korea in 2013, with other productions in Budapest and Milan.
Future productions are planned for Germany, Japan, China, Sweden and Brazil.
GHOST has been nominated for five Olivier Awards including Best Musical and three Tony Awards and was recently voted the ninth best musical of all time in a radio survey. It has now sold over million tickets world@wide.

GWB has toured Disney’s High School Musical – Live On Stage to Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Zhengzhou, Chongqing, Hefei, Wuhan, Beijing and Taipei. GWB conceived and produced Ultimate Broadway to celebrate the grand opening of the Shanghai Culture Square Theatre starring Lea Salonga, Eden Espinosa, Ria Jones, Brad Little and Kevin Kern. Due to its success, there was a return season starring Kerry Ellis, Josh Young, Mark Evans and Ria Jones the following year. 2015 will see Ultimate Broadway return to Shanghai for its 3rd year.
Most recently, GWB has presented Tony® and Emmy® award winner Kristin Chenoweth X Live in Concert at the Sydney Opera House and Avenue Q in Seoul, South Korea.
Current projects include an Asian Tour of GHOST – The Musical; Tony® award winner Idina Menzel @ Live in Concert as well as General Managing the current Korean Tour of CATS.
Colin Ingram Limited
Colin Ingram has worked with some of the world's leading theatre directors, producers and designers. He worked for Cameron Mackintosh as the Production Administrator of Les Misérables in London, leading the organisation of the 10th Anniversary Concert at the Royal Albert Hall, which become one of the best selling music videos. For six years, he general managed the UK Tours of Les Misérables and Phantom Of The Opera along with the West End transfer of the RNT's Oklahoma and Witches of Eastwick. He has acted as General Manager and Managing Director of Disney Theatrical in London overseeing Lion King in the West End and the UK Tour of Beauty And The Beast.
He left Dsiney to become Executive Producer for Old Vic Theatre Company (OVTC) and Old Vic Productions (OVP). During his tenure, he was EP for Kevin Spacey on Cloaca, Aladdin with Ian McKellan, National Anthems, Philadelphia Story, and Richard II. He was Executive Producer on Billy Elliot in London with David Furnish and Working Title's Angela Morrison and reported to Sally Greene in addition to being Executive Producer on Trevor Nunn's Hamlet starring Ben Wishaw, Vagina Monologues and the administrative, staffing and running of OVP and the OVTC.
In 2005, Colin formed Colin Ingram Limited and left the Old Vic but remained a consultant on Billy Elliot for them in Australia and New York. He produced Movin' Out in London with IP Live PLC, an AIM listed company. He was Lead Producer and General Manager for Gone With The Wind directed by Trevor Nunn, Breakfast At Tiffany's in London and on Broadway. From 2006 onwards, Colin developed and lead produced Ghost X The Musical directed by Matthew Warchus with Music & Lyrics by Dave Stewart and Glen Ballard. The production opened in Manchester then London in 2011, on Broadway in 2012 with two touring productions opened in the UK and North America in 2013 where he acts as consulting producer. Colin Ingram Limited also general managed the West End production and is the Global General Managers for Ghost The Musical with licensed productions opening in Budapest and Milan in 2013 and licenses signed for Holland, Germany, Japan, Sweden and Brazil.
