Blue Abalone from Pacific Ocean of New Zealand and BBQ Line up Showcase at Four Seasons Hotel Shenzhen

This summer, Four Seasons Hotel Shenzhen is doing something special, rather than providing the luxury dining experience of international buffet in a stylish and welcoming atmosphere, FOO Restaurant is now offering the New Zealand Baby Blue Abalone for daily dinner in August from New Zealand Executive Chef Michael Poutawa and his team. Ocean blue abalones are grown in the pure clean water of the Pacific Ocean at Bream Bay in the North of New Zealand, and they are only harvest for every 2 to 3 years of growth which makes them even precious to appear on Asian’s table. Now guests can enjoy them in 3 ways, sashimi, wok fried with ginger and chilli, and char grilled on truffled risotto as a complimentary dish of the buffet serving directly to the table.

 

Poutawa joined Four Seasons in 2013, after working for a number of respected global hotel and resort chains across Qatar, India, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Mainland China, Thailand and Vietnam.  He describes his decision as “a solid one,” pausing before saying, “There is such a detail to quality here. Four Seasons demands a higher standard because our guests demand a higher standard.” Despite his colourful, almost three-decade career, he is adamant that developing FOO, the all-day restaurant at Four Seasons Hotel Shenzhen is a career highlight: “FOO is one of a kind in this city. Everyone else is doing standard cuisine, not pushing any boundaries. We’re trying to shake things up by putting something unique on the table.”

 

Also celebrate the weekend with stylish soothing. FOO Restaurant launched champagne and seafood buffet featuring oysters, mussels, crab, salmon, cheese, soup, plus an assortment of antipasti, salad and mouth-watering BBQ line up, including Frankfurters, Numberger Bratwurst, Australian Rib Eye, Herbs Marinated Chicken Lean, Grouper Fillet with Tomato Coriander Glace, Prawns with Lemongrass and Chilli, Seafood Kebab with Lime and Chilli, Lamb Chop with Herbs and Mustard, as well as some side dish like Whipped Potato, Roasted Baby Potato, Crusted Carrots, Bacon and Beans and Sauteed Mushroom.
