1) Tips to prevent acute mountain sickness:

• Drink extra fluids. The mountain air is dry and cold and moisture is lost as you breathe. Evaporation of sweat may occur unnoticed and result in dehydration.
• Eat light, high-carbohydrate meals for more energy.
• Avoid alcohol as it may increase the risk of dehydration, and don't smoke.
• Avoid sedatives.
• Don't push yourself when climbing up to passes, rather take plenty of breaks.
• Avoid catching cold before you entering Tibet.

Mt.Everest Base Camp 10 day tour Itinerary

Day 01 Shenzhen - Xining(深圳-西宁) pick up and send to the hotel

Day 02 Taer temple（塔尔寺） in the morning , take the evening train from Xining - Lhasa

Day03: arrive in Lhasa(拉萨)
Arrive in Lhasa,pick you up and transferred to the hotel, Check in and have a good rest, overnight in Lhasa.

Day04: Sightseeing in Lhasa city
After breakfast, drive to visit the wonder of the world - Potala Palace（布达拉宫）.After lunch ,visit Jokhang Temple（大昭寺） and Barkhore Street,（八角街） overnight in Lhasa.

Day05: Lhasa/Namtso Lake （纳木错）/ Yangbache hot-spring(羊八井温泉自理self pay)/Lhasa
Day tour to Namtso Lake via Yangpachen hot-spring. On the way you will see Nyenchen Thanglha snow mountain ranges, and also you will pass the Nagela Pass. Namtso Lake is the sky lake which is one of the three holy lakes, and also the highest salt lake. You can do a bit trekking at the lake side . On the way back , you will have a chance to have hot-spring at Yangbachen(self pay). Overnight in Lhasa .

Day06: Lhasa/Yamdrok lake（羊卓雍错）/Gyanstse（江孜）/Shigatse（日喀则）
Pass Gangbala Pass which is over 5000m, from there you will see Lake Yamdrok ，which is one of the three holy lakes in Tibet. Then drive back to Qushui, along Nepal friendship way to Gyantse, visit the famous Kumpum stupa （白居寺）in Gyantse. Overnight at Shigatse.

Day07: Shigatse/ Lhatse / New Tinggri (Shegar)/ Rongbuk Monastery（绒布寺） / E.B.C（珠峰）
Early morning start driving to Rongbuk via Shegar. The road is a bit rough, on the way you will cross over Gyatsola Pass at 5,220 m, which is the highest enroute.
Rongbuk is the highest monastery in Tibet, still a good point to see Mt. Everest. Afternoon start trekking from Rongbuk to E.B.C , it takes about 2 hours. Or you can take tour bus ( 30rmb/per person). Overynight at E.B.C tent Guesthouse.(dorm beds).
Note: The entrance fee of Mt. Everest Base Camp is 180rmb/per person. Then Entry fee of the Land cruiser to E.B.C. is 405rmb. If the weather is quite there, you will have a chance to see the sunset.

Day08: Mt. Everest Base Camp（珠峰大本营） / Rongbuk（绒布） / Shigatse（日喀则）
If you are lucky enough, you will see sunrise at E.B.C. , then go back to Rongbuk and start driving back to Shigatse. Overnight at Shigatse.

Day09: Shigatse / Lhasa（拉萨）
Morning visit the Bachen Lama Set - Tashilunpo Monastery（扎什伦布寺） , which was Built in 1447 by the first Dalai Lama . Afternoon drive back to Lhasa along Yarlong Tsangpo river by the Nepal friendship road. Overnight at Lhasa

Day10: Lhasa departure（送机，行程结束）
Take airplane and fly from Lhasa-Chengdu-Shenzhen, bus drive to the city center. See you off, end the tour.
