Full Time Mandarin Language Course


Enroll in this program to become fluent in Mandarin by attending class four class hours a day intensive study. Teachers are teaching Chinese as a second language (TCSOL) certified with teaching experience. The college has over 800 students per semester coming from about 80 countries. There are eight Mandarin levels run each semester. Students can take a test prior to enrollment to see what Mandarin level they can attend.

Course Duration:

Spring Term: every March to July

Autumn Term: every September to January

Levels Offered At Shenzhen University Campus:

Eight levels per semester

Beginner Class A: If you are a complete starter

Beginner Class B: If you have learned Chinese for 80-160 class hours

Elementary Class A: If you have learned Chinese for up to 300 class hours

Elementary Class B: If you have learned Chinese for up tp 360 class hours

Intermediate Class A: If you have learned Chinese for up to 600 class hours

Intermediate Class B: If you have learned Chinese for up to 720 class hours

Advanced Classes: If you have learned Chinese for up to 900 class hours

Business Chinese Class: If you have learned Chinese for up to 1,200 class hours

Note: Your level will be determined according to your first interview.

Mandarin Course in Luohu District

College of International Exchange of Shenzhen University has set up two courses including a Beginner A Class and an Elementary A Class in the College of Continuing Education, Shenzhen University since September, 2013.

Beginner A: Comprehensive A 10hours/wk

Beginner A: Listening and Speaking A 10hours/wk

Elementary A: Speaking A 8hours/wk

Elementary A: Comprehensive A 8hours/wk

Elementary A: Listening A 4hours/wk


When you complete all required class hours and pass the exams, you will be awarded a certificate.

Class Hours:

Monday to Friday: 8:30am - 11:50am

4 classes per day

40 minutes per class

Main Courses:

Reading, Speaking, Listening, Newspaper Reading, Audio-visual Course and Today's Focus


Chinese Calligraphy, Chinese Painting, Erhu (a musical instrument), Tai Ji, Cantonese and HSK Tutorial, etc.

Extracurricular Activities:

Chinese Corner, International Cultural Festival, Talent Competition, Games and New Year's Party


Application Fees: 300 RMB

Tuition Fees: 8,800 RMB/Semester
