Torch relay Hits Shenzhen on Thursday 8th May.

Hey Guys,

Well I have been searching ans searching for a map to show us where and when the torch will be in Shenzhen, But it seems to NOT exist.

So The best I could find is the following:
"Shenzhen

The flame will arrive in Shenzhen on May 8 for a 40-kilometer tour of the city carried by a total of 208 torchbearers.

The Shenzhen leg will set off from the Citizens’ Center in Futian District heading westward and then return eastward before ending at Shenzhen Stadium in Futian District, according to the planned route.

The trip will take the flame to city landmarks and well-known tourist attractions, which will include the Trailblazing Ox sculpture in front of the old city government complex, Window of the World, Mangrove Nature Reserve, Diwang Mansion and the Deng Xiaoping portrait near the Shenzhen Grand Theater.

Yangge dancers and drummers will perform along the route to cheer the runners on.

Shenzhen Vice Mayor Liang Daoxing will be the first to carry the torch while Wang Qihong, coach of Shenzhen’s athletics team, will run the final stage carrying the flame to Shenzhen Stadium. The other runners comprise athletes, public servants, managers, security guards and expats, selected by the Shenzhen and provincial governments and event sponsors. "

IF I can Find a Map tonight ill post it up.

However, if you keep an eye out, all the roads which will host the torch have been lined with flags and banners for the relay, so keep an eye out for when they block the roads

Well I hope the weather is fine on that day. And I probably will cry out loud when the torch achieves the 大剧院广场. ^^

Roads to close for Shenzhen leg of torch relay

SHENZHEN'S preparatory committee of the 2008 Beijing Olympic torch relay announced the route and traffic control measures, calling for the public to avoid traffic and use public transport Thursday, the day of the relay.

The relay in Shenzhen, the fifth leg in China that will cover a distance of 41.6 kilometers, will start at 8:15 a.m. at the Citizens' Center in Futian District and end at 7 p.m., including a one-hour party at the Shenzhen Stadium.

The flame will arrive in Shenzhen from Guangzhou late tomorrow, the committee said Sunday.
