Dear Sir,
I will be traveling to Shenzhen after easter for 2 weeks of visiting factories, I am trying to decide if it is worth staying in shenzhen for a few days and seeing the sights or if its worth going directly to Shanghai after my meetings are complete.
Could you kindly pass me some information about places people feel are worth while visiting in Shenzhen eg. Historical Places, Parks, and any other sightseeing.
Regards
[Mr X] (I removed his name)

The best thing to do in
The best thing to do in Shenzhen is to head to an open air restaurant and drink copious amounts of ice-cold Tsingdao beer with your friends.
The second best thing is to lay on the sofa and watch pirated DVDs, drinking copious amounts of drinking Tsingdao, and munching chemical-laden Oroville Redenbacker's popcorn (under no circumstances should one eat the Chinese branded chemical-laden variety of popcorn as there have been reports of businessmen growing extra limbs and children sprouting facial hair.)
If you don't drink, then the best thing probably for you to do is to start immediately or take a "nature walk" though the urban gardens. Some recommendations might include: Hua Qian Bae Lu, Dong Men, or Luohu Commecial City. These casual strolls are particularly recommened on Saturday and Sunday afternoons as you can get a glimpse of the exotic Asian wildlife like the trousered ape or the chicken-legged streetwalker.
If nature isn't your cup of tea, then I suggest that you go check out the world-class art galleries, performance halls and other fine venues that showcase the burgeoning arts scene in our fair city.
