Hotel stay with Chinese gf

It is illegal to stay n a hotel with your GF. If you are caught by the police they will brand her as a hooker because you have no way of proving that she is not

Years ago after the great opening up etc it was illegal for a foreigner and a chinese girl to date, never mind spend the night in a hotel room.

Nowadays it is absolutly no problem. I have been in China for 3 years and before we were married my Chinese wife and I would travel regularly together and stay in hotels. There were never any questions asked.

Just make sure that you take your passport with you so the hotel staff can register you. I have been refused a room in a hotel once because I didn't have my passport with me (you're supposed to carry it with you at all times!)

Have you ever had such a problem happen to you in a hotel?

Never had a problem in three years and in five or six cities.

Never had a problem. No one cares as long as you have a passport and visa and you someone pays for the room.
Stayed in small and big cities with Chinese GF no one even blinks.

I've stayed in plenty of hotels with my GF. I've never had a problem. That guy at the top must be thinking about China about 10 years ago.

Definitely always remember to have your passport though!

Haha that guy at the top probably had that happened to him.

Just have your passport and money ready, plain and simple
