edge or gprs access in china for the iphone

I just found a great tip for getting your iPhone to work on the China Mobile Edge Network. For a long time I didn't think it was compatible but all you have to do is the following steps:

On iPhone 1.X
Go to "Settings->General->Network->EDGE Settings" and change the APN to the following leaving the username and password blank.

On iPhone 2.x
Go to "Settings->General->Network->Cellular Data Network" and change the APN to the following leaving the username and password blank.

APN: CMNET
Username:
Password:

The speed is quite slow but it should be a big help when you need to send an urgent email. This should work on all kinds of cards.
