As most foreigners know the best place to meet other foreigners is in Shekou at Seaworld. There are heaps of bars and clubs which are fequented by many foreigners. I understand that there are social rugby games played around Shekou.
for the Aussies I suppose McCawleys bar or Xtasy sports bar are the closest bars that are like local pubs in Oz.
They are easy to find and everyone there knows where they are.
McCawleys is good for watching sports in particular internation rugby and state of origin games for the league. Now the 6 nations in on there.

Mccawleys
All the above have Australian wines and beer.
all have Australians running or involved in them. On any night you will find Aussies in them Also try X-Ta-Sea as they have Australian network back so you can watch the AFL and NRL finals.

Most of us live and/or hang out around Shekou because Shekou is more user friendly for Westerners. A lot of us socialise at McCawleys, Gypsys Restaurant, Mama's Mediterranean Restaurant, Thai Restaurant, The Snake Pit. In Shekou, you can get life's necessities like Vegemite, Crown Lager, VB, Coopers, Chicken Parmegiana, Pumpkin Soup, Potato Cakes (some call them Potato Scallops) Meat Pies, Sausage Rolls, Lindeman's, Saltrams, Penfolds wines, touch Rugby etc. During the footy season, one can on most occasions watch the AFL, NRL, and the Tri Nations/Super 14's Rugby, Life is good.

guys/gals.. why don't we all just meet up and have a few?
i'm normally around coco park most nights after work for a lazy one or two.

well things here are boaring but one may need to change his/her tast to survive here.. at the end its never the same.

I meet few travelers in shekou but thats about it. we all should put out a note here and catch up some time in shekou... Mama's Restaurant is the best food around...
