Is anyone off to the A1 GP this week end in Zhuhai?
Hopefully the weather will be good.
This is first time any of these drivers have actually raced on this track, and it is actually the first time mist of them have EVER been on the track.

A1GP will make its first of two visits of the season to China at the Zhuhai International Circuit.

Zhuhai is situated on the south coast of the country, which borders the special administrative region of Macau, which is a short ferry ride from Hong Kong.

Zhuhai is a garden-like seaside tourist city, where flowers blossom all-year round. In 1999, it was granted an international award for best practices in improving the living environment by United Nations Centre for Human Settlement.

The circuit itself features lots of potential for overtaking with two straights of 900 and 500m in length. The pit straight is 14 metres wide at its widest, which should allow plenty of room for wheel-to-wheel A1GP action.

The second A1GP race of the season to take place in China will be held in April 2008 in Shanghai.

Well guys i have recovered

Well guys i have recovered from the rumble of the 3.4L V8 Ferrari engines at the A1GP.
I must say one thing first I WAS VERY IMPRESSED. This is the first time i have been to an event in china, that was supposed to be of International standard...and actually WAS of International standard.
The weather held of for dry races all day, with the typical seaside Haze that covers Zhuhai during this time of the year( well most of the year i think)
The track was very well organised with most A1GP LOCAL staff speaking enough english to help you find your way around. There was a good balance of foreign staff and Local chinese staff too.
We were in the VIP booth, which had an open buffet of mixed western and chinese food and an open bar of beer and softdrinks and juices and water.
One disappointment about the day came at the end, when we left the track, with everyone else leaving too, there was not one taxi in site...NOT ONE, this was not a case of there not being enough taxi, there simply was not any taxi. I think the organiser need to think about transport after the event a little better next year.
BUT, as i said, all in all was a loud fun filled day that has return a smile to my china beaten face.!
Cant wait for the shanghai Race!

Would you be interested to

Would you be interested to get out on the Zhuhai track on a motorcycle? There are training courses at the track, and you can even rent their motorcycle, leathers, helmets, etc.... All are Japanese 600 racing bikes, and really professionally done. If you are interested, I think they have a course during spring festival, if you would be bored at that time, this will be exciting!!! send me a message if you want more info!
