Opened in 1962, the Hong Kong City Hall is the first multi-purpose cultural complex ever built for the community of Hong Kong. Occupying an area of 11 000 square metres on the reclaimed seafront of Edinburgh Place, Central, the City Hall was designated as a Grade 1 historic building in 2009. Its major facilities, including a Concert Hall renowned for its outstanding acoustics, a Theatre well-received by professional theatre groups, as well as an Exhibition Hall capturing view of the Victoria Harbour, are housed in the Low Block. Other minor facilities, such as the Recital Hall, the Exhibition Gallery and the Committee Rooms, which are located in the High Block, are suitable for holding different kinds of events on a small scale. Located in Futian CBD with a gross area of 49,589 square meters, Shenzhen Library is the largest library in town. It is part of a complex that includes Shenzhen Concert Hall and Shenzhen Book City. It provides visitors with 2,500 seats, more than 2 million books and 1 million online reading materials.

Haide Square is a large public square located in Coastal City, with outdoor seating and a large stage where they often hold special events and free entertainment of a weekend. There is a landmark on the square called Fish basket promenade (鱼篓长廊).
Shenzhen Sea World Zone C is themed on fashion and leisure and composed of double-fish commercial building and watery plaza. The total commercial area is reaching about 12,000 square meters. Similar with Zone A, you also can find some special restaurants here in order to meet the needs of the public. Paulaner Bräuhaus Shenzhen Shekou is one of them, which is the first authentic brauhaus in Shenzhen.
Shenzhen Sea World Zone B, covering about 12,000 square meters of commercial area, is composed of one main building and 5 independent buildings built by waterside. Other than focusing on International boutique like Zone A, Zone B has exotic and unique food with original flavors. Moreover, the outdoor space is really nice in this zone.
