El Chino Dim Sum Experience
El Chino is certainly one of the most beautifully decorated restaurants that I have ever seen anywhere in the world. Truly gorgeous and the attention to detail is beyond compare. The open kitchen concept is wonderful and also impressive. We are so fortunate to have this in Shenzhen.
Where the restaurant excels in overall aesthethics it fails just as miserably in execution. I'm sure standard dining is fine at El Chino BUT if you try their reasonably priced "All you can eat Dimsum special," be prepared to wait an incredibly long time between relatively unexceptional dimsum dishes - glaciers can move across continents in the time span it takes for one dish to arrive after the previous. Don't go there hungry (as we did) and allow several hours for enough food to arrive to the table to feed a large group.
