Border crossings surge
shenzhendaily has an article named "Border crossings surge" by Li Hao, Yin Xiao.
RESIDENTS holding Shenzhen hukou, or permanent residence permits, used multi-entry visas to make 4.5 million visits to Hong Kong in the past 12 months, according to the Shenzhen General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection.
Thursday marked the one-year anniversary of the introduction of the visas for hukou-holding residents. The program was aimed at promoting tourism to Hong Kong.
