Shenzhen Daily, Han ximin reported that "HUNDREDS of passengers missed their flights Jan. 1 when a new rule took effect at Shenzhen Bao’an Airport, under which check-in service stops 40 minutes before departure, as opposed to the usual 30 minutes.

The Shenzhen airport handled about 28,000 passengers or around 250 flights a day in the past days, and for each flight, there were around two to three passengers failing to catch up for not knowing the rule."
