Hey Guys,
I just moved to SZ in late August and I've recently had a pretty bad craving for some hummus. Does anyone know a store at which I could buy some (hopefully tasty, anyone ever had Sabra?) hummus? I live in Futian so close by would be ideal but if I have to make a trek I will.
Also, is there a place that sells protein powders anywhere nearby?
Thanks!
Jeff

Jeff,
I would recommend City Super in Hong Kong. They sell hummus, with various flavors added, in plastic tubs. I was trying to find out about getting it in bulk powder, but I never had much luck.

I believe they also have protein powder, but you might also try mail order http://www.puritan.com/

There are a few General Nutrition Centers as will. Not sure if the shipping costs on mail order bulk protein powder would offset the savings.

I make my own Hummus. Cheaper and better. Garbanzo beans are easy to find. The only thing that may be difficult to locate is the Tahini. However, you can purchase Chinese Tahini, and its almost the same. Just find the unsweetened version.
