SCHOOL WARNING: COM-COM ENGLISH RIPS OFF TEACHERS

Printer-friendly versionPrinter-friendly version

SCHOOL WARNING! STAY AWAY FROM COM-COM ENGLISH!!! COM-COM English and one of its owners, Tony Yu, did not pay teachers their salaries for December, 2008. No warnings, no explanations and no money. One of the teachers I worked with told me that teachers and staff were asked to sign release statements forcing them to continue working for a 1,500 RMB settlement payment and the promise of being paid in full in April. COM-COM English is still open for business yet is refusing to pay teachers their full salaries. COM-COM ENGLISH SHENZHEN SHOULD BE BLACKLISTED!!!

STILL NO PAYMENT from

STILL NO PAYMENT from COM-COM for a part-time corporate teaching job I did for them between September and December 2008.

My Chinese co-teacher on this job told me yesterday that she too HAS NOT been paid her salary for this account.

One of the onwer/managers, Tony Yu, who I worked with for one year at Wall Street English, recruited me for the job, but has NEVER returned one of my many phone calls and emails.

The actual CEO (top executive) of COM-COM is Larry Chen. Mr. Chen is still the only owner who has returned my emails. While I do appreciate Mr. Chen's gracious attempts to soften the blow, all he's really done is given me excuses about why his company is unable to pay me the money it owes me.

If I don't get paid by the end of February, I'm taking my case to the Labour and Social Security Bureau. I'll report back the results of my case ASAP.

SCHOOL WARNING! STAY AWAY FROM COM-COM ENGLISH!! THEY DON'T PAY TEACHERS THEIR SALARIES!!!

Any news on this?

Any news on this?

I was NEVER paid. I sent

I was NEVER paid. I sent many e-mails and made plenty of phone calls, but COM-COM English never paid me the 4,500 rmb they owed me for teaching an outside business and general English class for them between Sept. and Dec. last year.

I NEVER signed a contract, but other teachers with signed contracts also got ripped off when COM-COM English failed to make its payroll at the end of last year. A lot of staff and teachers, Chinese and foreigners alike, got burned in this deal.

COM-COM English is still in operation. Its main school in the News Building in Futian has remained open since the payroll freeze in Dec. COM-COM English has closed its old Nanshan branch and opened a new school nearby on the third floor of the K Plaza building behind Haiya Department Store.

COM-COM English should be blacklisted as a school that DOES NOT PAY ITS TEACHERS! DO NOT TRUST THIS SCHOOL OR ANY OF ITS OWNERS AND MANAGERS!!

Com-com and Tony Yu still owe

Com-com and Tony Yu still owe me about 1000 rmb, which I am sure I will never get. Some teachers have said they are owed more than 3 months salary. I would never work for them again under any circumstances. Beware!!!

HERE IS ANOTHER SCHOOL!

HERE IS ANOTHER SCHOOL! LONGINGSUN!!!!

This is a friendly warning to other prospective foreign teachers looking for work , the people at Longingsun, in Windows of the world will try to sell you on this job under false pretenses, make visa and wage promises that they dont  intend to keep, they will work you like a dog and try and cheat you out of money where ever they can. Their advertisement on websites is false they dont pay what they say they will and they are horrible low life people just in general! Don't get caught out! They are all face and fake, no truth just cheats and lies! Don't get caught!
So if you value yourself as a person and a teacher do not work for these people there are good kind genuine schools out there, this is NOT one of them!

Tony Yu still run ING

Tony Yu still run ING international English.  They started with 6 schools two years ago, and now down to two.  That show you how good of a businessman he is (my god, you think he would learn...but NO...) I still hear from friends working at ING, that from time to time, salaries are being paid late, and of course Chinese staffs don't get paid at all when times get tough, and times gets tough very often over there.

So take this as a warning foreign teachers, look somewhere else if you want a job that pays on time every month!
