It's better to choose a hospital near your house. And you can book a single room when your baby is about 32 weeks. But I am not sure if you will be allowed to enter with your wife... but you can require maybe you are lucky for entrance.

In fact there are many hospitals are having VIP rooms, the one I use to go is this hospital: http://www.szmch.net.cn:8088/fycms/templates/fy/fyDetails.action?siteName=fy&pageId=997  but I'm not sure if you can get a VIP room, you need to reserv. There are also many other options, such like:
http://www.baihe.cn/office/ck/ these private hospital is more easy to get in, but I woudn't recommend it.

We've actually tried the Home Hospital for other things, and have been disappointed every time.  My wife delivered at the Hengsheng Hospital in Bao'An (http://www.hsyy.com.cn/Index.html), and were very pleased with it.  They offered a private delivery room (RARE here in China!), and a huge VIP suite for afterward.  We had four people in there to be with my wife during delivery.  The total was about 3,000RMB for everything!  It's a private hospital, so a little less busy than the public hospitals here.  You need to take a translator with you, as they spoke some English.  But we were very happy with the delivery and the price.
