Here is some info about apply F visa in Shenzhen, for your reference.

（i）Submit completely filled VISA AND RESIDENCE PERMIT APPLICATION FORM with recent half-length, blue background ,bareheaded, full-faced 2-inch color photo with official seal of the receiving unit填写完整并贴有近期二寸正面免冠半身蓝底彩色照片的《外国人签证、居留许可申请表》，接待单位加盖公章; 

（ii）Submit valid Receipt of China Visa Photograph for Foreigners in Guangdong Province. 提交有效的《广东省外国人签证数字相片采集检测回执》

（iii）Submit valid international travel certificates, including Diplomatic Passport, Service Passport, Passport for Public Affairs, ordinary passport, and etc; 提交有效的国际旅行证件，包括外交、公务、因公普通、普通护照等证件原件及复印件.

(iv)  Submit the copy of latest entry visa提交最后一次入境签证的复印件;

（v）Submit Registration Form of Temporary Accommodation for Visitors issued by police station of the temporary residence in Shenzhen or Registration Form of Temporary Accommodation for Visitors issued by hotels already having connected network with the public security institutions提交深圳暂住地派出所出具的《境外人员临时住宿登记表》或已与公安机关联网的酒店出具的《境外人员临时住宿登记表》;

  （vi）Chinese official letter issued by the receiving units in Shenzhen, describing the operating subjects of the receiving units, purpose to visit China of foreign citizens, time, place of staying, source of expense, and warrant to observe relevant laws during stay in China; 深圳接待单位的中文公函，说明接待单位经营项目、外国人来华事由、所需停留时间、住所、费用来源，并保证其在华期间遵守法律

（vii）Business license, organization code certificate of the receiving unit接待单位营业执照、组织机构代码证;

Remark:

1. Above info note that you need one domestic company to support you to get the F visa if apply in Shenzhen, as it need to issue invitation letter to you and need to provide its business licenses to officer to check.

2. Before you enter China, you may need to get L visa first, then change it to F visa in Shenzhen.

3. Or you can check whether you can apply F/ L visa directly in HK Immigration Department? I heard some friends said they can apply L visa directly in HK, but i don't know whether can apply F visa or not.
