Can a foreigner register a property in joint names ?
Printer-friendly versionmy chinese girlfriend and l are getting married but she wants me to buy a property before she commits to marriage . can a property be in jointy names even if l have just moved to Shenzhen ?

I heard you have to live in China for a minimum of 6 months before you can buy a property. BUT If you cannot get a property in your name I would think long and hard before you purchase a property in just her name - even if you are married.
