buying supplements in SZ

Some local gyms have protein powder, my gym is in Nanshan across from Shekou Wal-Mart in the New Era building. There are also GNC's in Hong Kong and that is where I buy my supplements.

GNC is one of the biggest ripoff here in Canada. Im looking for more of bulk supplements. The funny thing is all these powders are export from China, but i cant seems to find a store that sells them. I been hearing that bodybuilding is getting really big in China now.

oh yes i will be moving to the Nanshan area too, so how much does the gym you go to charge per year and do they have a website that i can check out

Mate I'm a fitness trainer and have been training in SZ for quite a few years.

With the supplements this is the best why to do it.

Don't buy in China, the prices are ridiculous. You options are 1. buy online, bb.com has the best prices in the world... or 2. buy in HK. The store Power of Life in Mongkok has ON Whey Gold Standard for 400. Search Power of Life you'll see their entire range of supplements.

Personally i get my protein in HK and i get everything else on line.

thanks Shawn for the advice. I checked out the Power of Life Site and was suprised that they carry ON Whey. Man I though I was gonna get stuck using some cheap Chinese brand. I ordered form bb.com before, but have stop since i started to mix my own pre, during, and post workout blends (if a guy like greg valentino can start his own supplement company i sure can mix my own) I usually order from 1fast400.com or nutraplanet.com for the bulk powders. So have ever had problems getting your online order past customs, im not sure how this works in China, funny thing is that all the bulk powders are exported from china.

So any good suggestions on a gym in the SZ area?
nothing fancy free weight and a nce squat cage is all in need

Be VERY careful about buying supplements in mainland China. There was a report awhile back ago about how some of the manufacturers here were using CHALK in their protein and creatine!! This is no joke.

I normally buy my stuff in HK at Natures Village. Here is their website http://www.naturesvillage.com.hk

that was my main concern with purchasing Sups while in china. with the recent tainted milk issue and all. but since buddy shawn saids that he had no problem clearing customs. i most likely purchase online. Is this Natures Village place a online supplier. i did not find any address for them.

i got the galaxy gym in futian, across from coco, its only 800 for 6 months, basic weights, nothing fancy.

Yeah i heard about Bigger Stronger Faster. Looks like it'll be worth a look.

With ordering from bb.com usually when it gets here, they send you a form where you have to state that there's no illegal substances in the package... it's better if you don't order too much. But it still gets in and you get your stuff, no worries.

I'm actually going into HK next week to pick up some protein Scott on this form, is a good mate and gave me the idea to contact them and see if they can just send it over the border for us ... if there's enough of us who want our protein i'm sure we can work out a shipment deal ... so we'll see how that goes next week.

Where do you live in SZ btw? As i'm sure you have seen in SZ you got your weight rooms with just the basics then you got your posh Spa's/Yoga areas. You can pay 800 or a 1000 for 6 months for the first and up to 10g a year for the latter!

If you are not picky then a good enough gym should be easy to find in SZ, i'm sure even close to where you live.

actually im not in SZ yet, but have planned to move to Nanshan in Feb. I just wanted to get everthing prepared and not have it hit me all at once after i move.

I not really interested in working out in one of the posh spa like places and kinda feel more at home in the dark gloommy type gyms..

well that sounds like my gym, it has the usual chinese non workouters, but its as gloomy as you can get i think in shenzhen.
