Bureau makes public 10 corruption cases
SHENZHEN’S anti-corruption bureau revealed 10 graft cases at a press conference yesterday.
Most of the cases related to land requisition, bidding for projects and government procurement.
Lin Jianrong, former vice director of Gongming Subdistrict Government Office, took bribes of 4.66 million yuan (US$630,000), HK$410,000 and US$10,000 in exchange for helping property developers obtain land use and construction approvals from 2001 to 2005. Lin was sentenced to death with a two-year reprieve last month.
