The International Cultural Industries Fair of 2011 has received earlier recognition than expected. With the congregation of more than 1600 delegates from all around the country and the attendance of 31 conglomerate delegates, ICIF 2011 is marking China’s delight off the charts.
The 7th installment to the annual cultural fair is more than just a scene for local entrepreneurs, masters and business enthusiasts, but also the acceptance and marketing of global cultural products. The Cultural fair has designated different halls to accommodate different cultural fans. Among the top stops for visitors will be the ICIF Hall 9.
The eighth ICIF hall is marked as the Art and Crafts Hall. The Arts and Crafts Hall occupies 15,000 square meters of the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center to promote craftworks and artworks with the adaptation of the ethnic characteristics of China. This hall is run by the Shenzhen Municipal People’s Government. The exhibits found in this area will be mostly pottery and porcelain, sculpture, jade, brocade, embroidery, dye printing, knot-work, knitting, lacquer work, metal artworks, handicraft pictures and similar products.
The Arts and Crafts Hall of the ICIF 2011 will also be responsible for the conduct of the Appraisal for Innovative Award of Chinese Crafts and Arts Culture and also Creativity-Challenge-Beyond Forum on Arts and Crafts. The theme Creativity, Challenge, Beyond was devised to enhance Chinese craftiness to make it internationally accepted, to go above board to overcome the needs and demands of arts and crafts and to go beyond the expectations of the global village when warranted.
The eighth hall of the ICIF 2011 has been customized to present the National Treasures and masterpieces of the Chinese culture - a collection of China’s 19th and 20th century paintings and calligraphy masterpieces from the collections of private owners. The artists showcased here are China’s most renowned painters like Qi Baishi, Zhang Daqian, Xu Beihong, and Fu Baoshi. It also will give you a glimpse of the rare painted pieces by the members of the Qing Dynasty; Emperor Doa Guang and the infamous Empress Dowager. The exhibition hall will showcase an array of traditional brush work forms - classic to contemporary – covering a range of subjects like nature, history and the divine.
The magnificent hall of the arts and craft division will be surrounded by modern crafts, traditional embroidery products hand-prepared by locals, furniture adapting Qing/Ming style, folk handicrafts, pottery and porcelain yields, collections of jade and jewelry adornment, flower arrangements and similar products of Chinese wiliness.
